Overview

This engaging tutorial focuses on the important roles of cell membranes and osmosis in biology. Students explore the structure and function of membranes and osmotic processes using interactive simulations and animations. Key concepts investigated include membrane permeability, passive vs. active transport, and tonicity. Reinforcing their understanding, students apply their learning to solve fun, challenging problems involving plant stomata and isotonic intravenous fluids.
