TUTORIAL LAB – Upper & Lower Division

Overview

With learning points motivated by COVID-19, this tutorial explores how diseases spread through and impact host populations. Students learn to use epidemiology models such as the susceptible-infected-recovered (SIR) model, and they investigate vaccination, community mitigation strategies, vector-borne transmission, and pathogen evolution with interactive simulations.
